![]() As I was eating breakfast this morning, I opened my computer and started working. I had 6 windows open, my phone beside me, and my to-do list staring me down, I was in full multitask when a voice started sending me some very tempting messages. "You should go spend some time in the garden." "You should go walk in the woods." "You should go do a few sun salutations." These are things of course I love doing, but I had too much to do. I thought, "I'll do them later." But as you may know, "later" doesn't always come. I had a thought about what was actually important on my list, and why is it that those things I love to do, don't even get on the list. Even if it's finding a quiet spot to breathe for 3 minutes, items like this should not only be on the list, they should be at the top. Just being still may seem unproductive, but if it brings you focus, calmness, and clarity, how much more productive will the rest of your day be? The most important thing we can do, is nourish ourselves first.
