Yoga Therapy Workshop
Sunday, September 15th 11:30am-2:30pm
Location: Charlottetown Yoga Space
49 Pownal Street, Charlottetown, PE
Not all Yoga classes are therapeutic.
Perhaps you have chronic pain and were told "Yoga would be good for you". This is a workshop that will be just what the doctor ordered.
Maybe you've been curious to try Yoga but are intimidated - this is a great place to start!
Maybe you've been practicing Yoga for years, but are interested in a deeper understanding of how your body works - this workshop is also for you.
In these 3 hours, Yoga Therapist-in-training, Samantha Sambrooke will break down the 3 most common holding patterns in the body. These can be the result of injury as well as other physical, mental and/or emotional strain. We will then experience a Yoga practice focusing on the hips, spine and shoulders to help find freedom in our movements as well as stability and strength to help balance each pattern.
This will transform and inform your Yoga practice! This will also be a great introduction to the new weekly Yoga Therapy classes beginning at the Charlottetown Yoga Space in September.
If you're a Yoga Teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance, this workshop will count for 3 hours of Continuing Education credits.
